Assign ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

Data Collection

Assign does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or financial data to external servers. All data remains on your device.

All your financial data, including budget items, transactions, recurring payments, and debt information, is stored locally on your device using secure local storage (AsyncStorage). This means:

• Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it
• We have no access to your financial information
• Your data is not backed up to any cloud service
• No third parties have access to your data

Third-Party Services

Assign does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app operates entirely offline and does not require an internet connection for core functionality.

We do not use:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Crash reporting services (unless you explicitly opt-in)
• User tracking or profiling
• Social media integrations

Permissions

The app requests notification permissions to send payment reminders. These permissions are:

• Optional: You can disable notifications at any time in Settings
• Local Only: Notification data is processed locally and never transmitted to external servers
• No Other Permissions: The app does not request access to your camera, photos, location, contacts, or any other sensitive data

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using:

• AsyncStorage: A secure local storage solution provided by React Native
• Device-Only: Data is never synchronized to cloud services
• No Backups: We do not create automatic backups of your data

Data Export and Deletion

Export Your Data: You can export all your data at any time from the Settings screen. This allows you to create backups or transfer your data to another device.

Data Deletion: You can delete all app data at any time using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings. This action is irreversible and will permanently remove all stored information from your device.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in app updates. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your information:

• You can view all your data within the app
• You can export your data at any time
• You can delete your data at any time
• You can uninstall the app to remove all data

GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Since Assign does not collect, process, or store any personal data on external servers, the app is inherently compliant with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) requirements. All data processing occurs locally on your device.
